VIVA! Cinco De Mayo. This is definitely my favorite drinking holiday. I like it better than St. Patrick's day or Oktoberfest. Maybe its because of my love of good tequila. Whatever the reason, its the best party of the year. The last 2 years I have celebrated 4 days straight. No road trips this year though.
Wow, that was a flashback. Usually I will go through my journal and read what went on in previous years. Just as I was writing this I went back and looked at some of my blogs from last May. I had a lot going on back then. Its funny what a difference a year makes. I have to say the last two May's have been very interesting months for me. So far, this one has a lot of potential to keep up with and maybe surpass the last 2 years.
The above video is just a bunch of random clips of me, some of my friends and some people we don't really know having a blast. Some of it is from this Cinco De Mayo weekend, but a lot of it is over the last few months. I tried to keep the video as short as possible and still keep a wide variety of fun stuff. If I were to put up everything I recorded on my camera......., wow, I would have about an hour if I only used us singing "La Bamba"!
I cant remember the name of the guy that plays the classic rock. The other guy is Francisco. He doesn't speak much English. I have jokingly called him the Mexican Johnny Cash. I don't know enough Spanish to know what he is singing about, but I can feel the emotion from the song. My favorite song that he sings is "dios bendiga tu camino" It means "God bless your way". Its in the later half of the video. Its a long video but check it out. You may want to turn the volume down because usually we were drunk and loud when I recorded any of this. I just need to get him to learn my other 2 favorite Latin songs. Guantanaera & Solamente Una Vez. We have fun and its definitely a party. Come and join us some time. We are making new friends all the time!
