Misplaced

Misplaced
1. put in the wrong place
2. lost temporarily; as especially put in an unaccustomed or forgotten place; "the mislaid hat turned up eventually"
3. To bestow (confidence, for example) on an improper, unsuitable, or unworthy person or idea.

Have you ever felt Misplaced? Out of sync? Like everything is there, but it just doesn’t fit together like it should? The repetition of reminiscing on something, but being lost as to what it was. Where do you belong and when does it all fit in? The seasons have changed, but now winter comes before the autumn.

“lost temporarily”. That means looking forward to finally figuring out the destination, or being found.

I have to say thanks to a good friend for having the perfect adjective for this strange emotion.
Maybe this song is a little misplaced in this blog or maybe in some strange way I just figured out where I wanted to put it after all this time. :)

LAST STAND IN OPEN COUNTRY - Willie Nelson & Kid Rock

I was looking for America, in a western movie
Saw a young gun slinger with something to prove
And I came lookin'... like anybody else,
I came searchin'...like anybody else
Lookin' for that golden calf.

And I came shooting for the stars, like any young blood
I found a fat cat city and a crooked judge
I killed anything standing in my path
I killed anything till I laid my hands
Laid'em on the golden calf

Now it's our last stand in open country
This is my last chance to be with you
This is the last dance for this kind of man
I'm still lookin' for something to prove

I come around full circle, aged like an old dog
Lookin' at them young bucks just green as frogs
But I ain't layin' back no time to laugh
I ain't layin' back
There's new kids a comin' gunning for that golden calf

I was looking for America in a western movie
I saw pike bishop stridin' through aqua verde
He was headin' down that dusty path
Headin down to that blood bath
chasin' down that golden calf

But there's always someone faster
Someone quicker on the draw
Someone with a hunger closin' in
Some younger steppin' up to be
The next outlaw

Oh I'm still looking for something to prove
This our last stand...
This our last stand...
This our last stand...
This our last stand...

Beautiful Blues

» Mr. E's Beautiful Blues - Eels «

The smokestack spitting black soot into the sooty sky
The load on the road brings a tear to the indian's eye
The elephant won't forget what it's like inside his cage
The ringmaster's telecaster sings on an empty stage

Aha

Goddamn right it's a beautiful day, aha
Goddamn right it's a beautiful day , aha

The girl with the curls and the sweet pink ribbon in her hair
She's crawling out her window 'cause her daddy
He just don't care
Come on

Aha
Goddamn right it's a beautiful day, aha
Goddamn right it's a beautiful day, aha

The clown with the frown driving down to the sidewalk fair
Finger on the trigger let me tell you gave us quite a scare

Goddamn right it's a beautiful day, aha
Goddamn right it's a beautiful day, aha

The kids flip their lids when their ids hear that crazy sound
My neighbor digs the flavor still he's moving to another town
And I don't believe he'll come back

Goddamn right it's a beautiful day, aha
Goddamn right it's a beautiful day, aha

Well i don't know how you take in all the shit you see
No don't believe anyone and most of all
Don't believe me

Believe you

Goddamn right it's a beautiful day, aha
Goddamn right it's a beautiful day, aha
Goddamn right it's a beautiful day, aha
Goddamn right it's a beautiful day, aha
